Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Lightning Theif

Positives:
-Great Supporting Cast
-Well Paced with very few lulls in the plot
-Interesting modern twist on Greek Mythology
-Story is generally well thought out
-Settings (esspecially The Underworld and Olympus)

Negetives:
-Rather boring leads
-A bit of a Harry Potter knockoff
-Special effects are just O.K-ish
-Script is a bit hit and miss
-Annoying Apple product placement

Overall:
I was tempted to give this * * 1/2, but I bumped it up because despite it's faults, it was a genuenly fun fantasy film to watch; and with the mid-winter movie lull in full effect, it's a good diversion until some of the bigger films get here.
